Is OLED lamps more suitable for the market compared to LED street lamps for application

OLED lighting, as the biggest competitor with the greatest potential to replace LED street lights, has undergone some "consolidation" in the OLED lighting market over the past year, and Panasonic has given up its ambition to manufacture OLED lighting, even though it was the record holder for the championship just a few years ago. Philips Lighting has recently abandoned OLED and OLED light engine and panel manufacturing company OLEDWorks in the United States has acquired some of its OLED light source device business.

If you think LED street lights are the future development direction of lighting, then your idea is already very avant-garde, but this is only a part of it. A more advanced technology is OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode), which has more advantages compared to its "peer" LED technology.

An organic light-emitting diode is a layer of organic material added between the current supplied by two electrodes. OLED display technology has the characteristic of self luminescence, using very thin organic material coatings and glass substrates. When current passes through, these organic materials will emit light and can save electricity.

In addition to being thin, OLEDs can also be made very flexible, making them more suitable for use in desk lamps than traditional light bulbs. Nowadays, OLED technology has been first applied to televisions and mobile phones, and some OLED manufacturers are currently researching more ways to apply their products, such as replacing ordinary walls with OLED screens or integrating technology into daily items.

Traditional LED lights have been criticized by many for producing a large amount of blue light, as blue light can cause certain harm to our health. Research from professional institutions has shown that LED lights may affect our levels of neurotransmitters and dopamine, and disrupt people's sleep states. The light generated by organic light-emitting diodes is softer and less stimulating.
