LED street lights are mainly used for road lighting on main roads, secondary roads, branch roads, factories, schools, gardens, city squares, courtyards, and other areas.

The improvement of output power and luminous flux still needs to be further improved from the basic level of epitaxial technology and chip technology of high-power white LED. In terms of secondary optical design, LED radiation forms include Lambert type, side reflection type, bat wing type, and spotlight type. In the field of road lighting, based on design experience, Lambert and bat wing shapes are more suitable. Through secondary optical design, the illumination range and luminosity curve of LED meet the requirements of road lighting.

The most common form of LED used in road lighting is mainly in the lighting fixture, where a matrix LED is installed on an almost flat mounting surface (also a reflective surface). This design method cannot achieve good lighting distribution of the lighting fixture.
