In the past two years, many enterprises have put into production, and without a clear understanding of the characteristics of semiconductor road lighting production, they have simulated, imitated, and made products along the current conventional shape of lighting street lights, and pushed them to the market one after another. Most products have varying degrees of problems.
2、 Domestic light sources cannot meet market demand yet
The development of domestic LED light sources started relatively late compared to foreign countries, and there is still a certain distance between the technical level and the international leading industry. Although the theoretical lifespan of domestic LED light sources can reach 100000 hours, the actual lifespan is greatly reduced due to the inability to effectively solve the heat dissipation problem; Unstable power supply system: The instability of LED driver power supply is an industry consensus, but in fact, it is dragging the back of the LED lighting industry because the driver power supply is an important component of LED street lights, and its failure will lead to the failure of the entire lamp. The poor reliability of the power supply may cause the installed street lights to break down in a short period of time, which is difficult to install and maintain for outdoor high-altitude devices such as LED street lights. For street light manufacturers, unstable power supply increases maintenance costs.
3、 Difficulty in product maintenance and high product prices
Maintenance issues. The high-pressure sodium lamp is easy to maintain, as long as the lamp is cleaned, it does not need to be replaced. The light source is replaced every 4 years, which is very convenient. LED street lights, involving LED tubes, modules (including lenses, etc.), power devices, etc., have a high possibility of damage to components and components, making maintenance difficult and likely requiring overall replacement, resulting in higher costs. High price: The price of LED street lamps is 2-5 times that of high-pressure sodium lamps. Even though the power consumption of LED street lamps is only half of that of high-pressure sodium lamps, due to their much higher price than high-pressure sodium lamps, the cost recovery cycle of replacing high-pressure sodium lamps with LED will still be long;
4、 There are issues with product design and quality that need improvement
The color issue of LED street lights. High power LED street lights, as road lighting sources, are visually too cold or even gloomy, which is not conducive to motor vehicle driving. The lifespan of LED street lights is not high. The average lifespan of high-pressure sodium lamps is 4 years. There is currently no practical experience in the service life of LED street lights, and the existing enterprises claim 50000 hours without reliable basis. Because the capacitor life of the LED driver circuit device is only about 10000 hours.
High power LED street lights basically use white light at a color temperature of around 5000K. As a light source for road lighting, the visual perception is too bleak, and the observation ability will decrease when viewed far away. In this regard, street light users have the most say. Yellow light or warm white light around 3000K is more suitable for road lighting, so fluorescent LED street lights are not suitable for use as street lights.
