The simplest application of solar energy is to generate hot water, followed by electricity generation. At present, the most promising ones are solar street lights, solar courtyard lights, solar lawn lights, solar signal lights, and solar beacon lights. Among them, LED solar street lights have the highest economic value. Because ordinary streetlights require a long transmission line to be laid, and as the distance increases, the voltage gradually decreases. After a certain distance, a transformer needs to be used to boost the voltage. The laying of its power lines requires a high investment cost. Solar street lights are not the case. Because each street light pole is independent, there is no need to lay transmission lines, which greatly reduces the cost of installation. Moreover, the luminous efficiency of LED is much higher than that of white woven lamps. Although it cannot be compared to high-pressure sodium lamps in terms of numbers, the development potential of LED is great.
